Make a Mammogram Promise sponsored by Seattle Cancer Care Alliance

Thanks for Promising!

Our first Make A Mammogram Promise campaign collected almost 5,000 Mammogram Promises during the month of October! That means nearly 5,000 people are helping to reverse the declining rates of mammography for women 40 and over in Washington State and across the nation.

Patty Murray

United States Senator, Washington State
"Early detection is critical to surviving breast cancer, and that is why I support campaigns like ‘Make a Mammogram Promise’ that encourage women to make a strong commitment to their health. I am working hard to increase federal funding for screening, treating and ultimately curing this terrible disease, and I encourage women across Washington state to join the effort to save lives."

We'll Be Back in 2010!

But we've got a lot more work to do. The number of women over 40 getting mammograms continues to decrease, and the more promises we can collect, the more attention we can bring to this important issue.

If you missed out on our October 2009 campaign, you can still make a Mammogram Promise. Just enter your email address below and click "I Promise." We'll let you know about our next campaign, which will include some pretty neat prizes. After all, mammograms should be a part of every healthy 40-plus women's annual routine.

I promise to get a mammogram or encourage others to do so, and agree to receive the MammogramPromise.com newsletter.
